Erosa retires on a first-round knockout
Julian Erosa knocked out JeongYeong Lee at 1:31 of round one at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas, then retired. The finish paid a $100,000 bonus.
Julian Erosa beat JeongYeong Lee by knockout at 1:31 of the first round. The finish was punches. Referee Chris Tognoni stopped it. The fight was on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 31. Erosa had said beforehand that the bout would be his last, win or lose.
Lee dropped Erosa with a left hook in the first 15 seconds and hunted a guillotine. Erosa stood up. He then dropped Lee with a right hand and finished him on the ground. Erosa is 32-13, and 10-9 in the UFC. He is 37. He came in at 31-13, and 9-9 in the UFC. Lee falls to 11-4, and 1-3 in the UFC. He came in at 11-3, and 1-2 in the UFC.
The bonuses
The finish paid a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus. Tom Nolan, Joe Kropschot, and Lucia Szabova received the same check. Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani and Rodrigo Sezinando received $25,000 for their finishes. There was no Fight of the Night.
