Bishop takes the flyweight title

Jena Bishop beat Liz Carmouche by unanimous decision, 48-47 on all three cards. The fight went five rounds. Referee Rob Madrigal was in charge. It was the main event of PFL Chicago at Wintrust Arena on Friday, October 16, for the inaugural women’s flyweight title. Flyweight is 125 pounds.

Bishop is 12-3. She came in at 11-3. Carmouche falls to 26-9. She came in at 26-8. Carmouche had stopped Bishop in the third round of the 2025 World Tournament final.

Carmouche dropped Bishop with a right hand in the first round and followed her to the canvas. Bishop took the back in the third and hunted a rear-naked choke. Carmouche escaped. In the fifth, Bishop took the back again, locked a body triangle, and attacked the choke until the bell.

Timur Khizriev beat Gabriel Braga by split decision, 29-28, 28-29, 29-28. Khizriev is 19-0. Braga falls to 17-4. Braga dropped Khizriev twice in the second round.

Sarvarjon Khamidov beat Rafael do Nascimento by knockout at 1:49 of the first round. The finish was a left hook and hammerfists. Khamidov is 18-1. do Nascimento falls to 13-3.

Oualy Tandia beat J.P. Saint Louis by unanimous decision, 30-27, 29-28, 29-28. The bout was at a 173-pound catchweight. Tandia is 6-0, in his PFL debut. Saint Louis falls to 12-6.

Eliezer Kubanza beat Trey Waters by knockout at 1:36 of the first round. Kubanza is 10-1. Waters falls to 10-3.

Emiliano Sordi beat Abraham Bably by TKO at 3:13 of the second round. Sordi is 27-14-1. Bably falls to 8-4.

Kevin Pease beat Cassio Barao by rear-naked choke at 3:28 of the first round. Pease is 9-0. Barao falls to 10-2-1.

Shannon Clark beat Lucero Acosta by TKO at 1:59 of the third round. Clark is 9-1. Acosta falls to 6-3.

Gamid Khizriev beat Michael Boylan by TKO, elbows, at 3:04 of the first round. Khizriev is 6-0. Boylan falls to 6-2.

Cobey Fehr beat Rosario Romero by rear-naked choke at 0:58 of the first round. Fehr is 5-0. Romero falls to 4-1.

Levan Khabalaev beat Brock Hamer by TKO at 1:01 of the first round. Khabalaev is 6-0. Hamer falls to 5-2.

Paulina Wisniewska beat Chelsea Hackett by unanimous decision, 29-28 on all three cards. Wisniewska is 8-1. Hackett falls to 5-4-1.

Noah Hermosillo beat Caden Cox by TKO, a body kick and punches, at 1:43 of the third round. Hermosillo is 2-0. Cox falls to 2-1.
